Mother’s Day 2015

Hello all!

Bit of a delayed post given that Mother’s day in the UK was back in March! Anyhoo here is the card and gift I made for my Mum this year:

My first shaker card! Wasn’t as time consuming as I thought it would be! I stuck some buttons and sequins around the sentiment to add interest when the card was stood up.

I also made this word art heart and framed it – it’s personalised with names and special dates. I used this handy website called tagxedo – you can create word clouds in lost of different shapes (unfortunately you can’t sell them though – they are just for personal use only).

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi all,

Popping by with a card inspired by the shop challenge over at CASology. I don’t have many shop related stamps so in the end I went with a subway style sentiment (Kaisercraft) which says “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means just a little bit more” (I think it’s a quote from Dr Seuss/the Grinch film – at least that’s what Google tells me!).

Guest Muse

Hello lovelies,

Today I’m excited to reveal that I’m this week’s: muse_guest_designer Muse is definitely one of my favourite challenges so it goes without saying that when I received the email from Ardyth asking if I’d like to be  a Guest Muse I was thrilled and jumped at the chance.

Here’s what I came up with:

Muse #45

I aimed for a simple but classy Christmas design and in the end used the large Uniko Studio snowflake die and let it snow stamp (in real life the sentiment is sparkly silver).  To make this card I die cut the snowflake from my card base and then rotated the die cut snowflake and adhered it to the card blank.

If you’re not familiar with the Muse challenge here are the guidelines:

  • Use the Muse card as inspiration, explain your interpretation and link back to Muse.

  • Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.

  • Vote for 3 of your fellow member’s submissions that you find inspiring.

Full details can be found over at the Muse blog.

I hope that you can draw some inspiration from my card (I dithered so much over what to make….eek!)  – I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!

I’m entering this card into:

CAS on Sunday – Winter Theme

Uniko Studio –  Christmas/Winter Holiday Theme

Festive Friday – Snowflake Element

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Pink flowers

Just stopping by to share a card which has been inspired by the washi tape challenge at Less is More, the floral fantasy challenge at CAS on Sunday and the current Muse challenge where Marion Vagg has provided this week’s inspiration card.

Here is Marion’s card:

Here is my creation:

I was inspired by the colours, flowers and layout that Marion used. I think buttons make quite good flowers! I also really like the polka dot washi tape – so simple to use!

Thanks for looking!
